Dr. Jeffers has twenty-one years of research and engineering experience including medical ultrasonics, electromagnetics and digital signal processing. He has experience in the design and development of advanced radar signal processing systems, active sonar systems, passive sonar systems and automated classification systems. Most of his engineering experience was in the area of Navy sensor systems which includes four years as a Navy employee responsible for defining system requirements, test and evaluation of sonar signal processors.
As a Principal in 3 Phoenix, Dr. Jeffers is responsible for systems engineering, technology development and business development. In his Business Development role, his focus areas include winning Small Business Innovation Research grants, development of technologies and adapting technologies for emerging customer needs. Opportunities and expansion of new business opportunities including sonar systems, automated classification systems, sensor and radar systems.
Dr. Jeffers has experience in large and small companies and Government including General Dynamics, Advanced Information Systems; Digital System Resources, Inc.; and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center – Division Newport.
